Pastor Mike & Melanie Ellis
Pastor Mike grew up in a lost home and going to liberal churches that didn't preach the gospel. Thanks to some unsaved friends who invited him to a Word of Life sports marathon, Pastor came to know the Lord. Saved at 18, Pastor Mike went to Bible College shortly after and soaked up as much as he could, with a passion to share the Good News with as many people as possible. After graduation, he worked at a rescue mission in Greenville, SC, before he and his family moved to Virginia in 1991 to pastor GPBC. His wife Melanie, is the church pianist, worship leader, and jack-of-all-trades. Pastor and Melanie just celebrated their 25th anniversary.
